Board of Directors
Wolfeboro Friends of Music's functional activity is predominantly accomplished through the voluntary efforts of area residents. Board members come with a variety of skills and experiences and together, plan, coordinate and participate in the variety of activities that result in musical experiences enriching the lives of people of the area. Because Friends of Music's activities are so diverse, the contributions of board members are also diverse.

Greg Jonas was a Partner at Arthur Andersen, a Managing Director at Moody's Investors Service and Morgan Stanley, the Director of Research at a Federal regulator and currently consults with Ernst & Young. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Michigan. Greg studied clarinet for 16 years and for 11 years spent part of each summer at the National Music Camp at Interlochen, Michigan.

Nancy Connors has been employed as a Certified Universal Banker at the Wolfeboro branch of Meredith Village Savings Bank for ten years. She serves on a number of committees for the bank, including the Empowerment Committee, the Employee Recognition Committee, and the Employee Focus Group Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern New Hampshire University, where she is currently working toward a Master’s degree. In addition to various volunteer duties associated with Meredith Village Savings Bank, she is a member of the Finance Committee of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. She lives in Wolfeboro with her husband of 39 years, Bill, and has two adult children.

Debbi Gibson followed her dream to pursue music and received a BME with a Certificate in Performance from Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music. She then obtained her MME from James Madison University. She has been a music educator for over 40 years, teaching K-12 grades and adjunct faculty at local colleges. Her teaching accolades include 2005 NHMEA Distinguished Music Educator of the Year, 2011 NHBDA Outstanding Band Director Award. Mrs. Gibson performs regularly with the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra, the Lakes Region Woodwind Quintet, the Newmont Military Band, the Center Harbor Town Band, and the NHMF Festival Chorus. She conducts the New Horizons of the Lakes Region Band, Jazz Band and the Taylor Community Chorus and the Carter Mountain Brass Band.

Kelly Barbarisi has worked at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital since 2005 and is currently in the Communications Department and has been Assistant to the Director of WDPC Operations. Prior to her employment at Wentworth-Douglass, she had several roles, over a 17 year period, from Administrative Assistant to Client Manager at Willis of New Hampshire (previously Kendall Insurance). During her years at Kendall/Willis, she received the INS Associate in General Insurance from the Insurance Institute of America. She attended New Hampshire College with a focus on Business Administration. In 2013 she launched a new career in photography, shooting weddings, portraits, events and concerts. Kelly resides in New Durham with her 2 sons, Bradley 18 (SYMS recipient) and Brayden 11 and their rescue pup, Boo.

Carl Crosley is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Until this past year he was a resident of Syracuse New York where he was Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the SUNY Upstate Medical University. In Syracuse he served as President and in several other leadership roles on the board of the Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music over a fifteen year period. He also served on several other not-for-profit boards. After 40 years of part time residency he and his wife Judith have made Wolfeboro their permanent home.

Penny Gladstone-Kaiser was a Senior Consultant in Marketing at NextiraOne, a Program Manager in Marketing at Williams Communications and a Senior Specialist in Quality at Nortel. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Marketing from Central Connecticut State University. In her spare time, Penny was the Chair of the KomenCT Ride for the Cure committee that managed an annual equine fundraising event to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. In 15 years, the committee raised over $1 million dollars for breast cancer research. She is currently a volunteer at the Life Ministries Food Pantry. Penny and her husband, Blaine, moved to Wolfeboro from Woodstock, Connecticut in 2018.

Lauren Hammond is a local resident known for her vibrant presence in the community and her passion for education and the arts. A former teacher at Brewster Academy with over two decades of experience, Lauren dedicated her career to inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning. She worked in the Instructional Support Department where she shared her deep understanding of the importance of creativity in education, balancing learning styles and differences to celebrate all kinds of minds and abilities. Her interest in learning modalities led her to incorporate various artistic practices into her teaching, nurturing a generation of students who appreciate both academic and artistic pursuits. After retiring from teaching, Lauren embraced her lifelong passion for Plein Air painting (painting outside) capturing the beauty of the local landscapes. Her works are characterized by their capturing light and dynamic compositions, reflecting her deep connection to the natural environment. Lauren’s paintings have been featured in several local exhibitions, where they have garnered praise for their ability to evoke the serene and ever-changing moods of the outdoors. As an active member of the local arts community, she continues to share her love for art and aspiring artists and contributing to the cultural vibrancy of her hometown.

Judy Hatch joined the board in October 2024 and has been a Wolfeboro resident since 2017. With a background in business management and bookkeeping, she supports the Treasurer and brings valuable experience as a former certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

Professionally, Judy holds a degree in Business Management from New Hampshire College and has owned and operated Solutions for Small Businesses since 1988. She is deeply committed to community involvement and currently serves as Treasurer on the board of the Kingswood Youth Center. Judy is also active as a committee member for both the VNA Hospice House & Garden House Tour and KIND, a volunteer with Caregivers, and a member of Thrivent Champions.

Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Judy enjoys life in Wolfeboro with her two cats, Liam and Fiona.

Bob Shea recently retired from The Barnstormers Theatre after serving for 14 seasons as artistic director/ producer. From 2000 to 2018, Bob also served as Artistic Director of the Dana Center for the Performing Arts, a regional performing arts center on the campus of Saint Anselm College. Bob served from 1996 to 2000 as Vice President for Academic Affairs of the New Hampshire Institute of Art. From 1983-1995, Bob served as Executive/Artistic Director of the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH. In 1997, Bob founded New Art Theatre, a professional theatre company dedicated to the production of classical and innovative performance works. Bob has served as full-time and adjunct faculty at the University of Memphis, New England College, the NH Institute of Art, and Plymouth State University. Bob holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Memphis. Bob and his wife Kristen have been residents of Wolfeboro for 25 years.
