William H. Gibson Music Fund

Wolfeboro Friends of Music upholds its mission "to support music education for area students" by offering music assistance monies to students through the William H. Gibson Music Fund. The monies can be used to help further the student's music education by private lessons, upgrading instruments/equipment or attending music camps. 

The William H. Gibson Music Fund is supported by WFOM through part of its annual ticket income, supporting awards, and individual sponsors. Donations to the William H. Gibson Music Fund can be made payable by check to Wolfeboro Friends of Music and mailed to P.O. Box 2056, Wolfeboro, NH 03894. Or, donations can be made online here

William H. Gibson Music Fund for Lessons & Instruments

Music assistance monies to help further the student's music education through private lessons or upgrading musical instruments or equipment. This scholarship is available to students in grades 7th-12th in the Governor Wentworth Regional School District. Application Deadline is April 1st, 2025. 

Awardees will be selected based on their application by a committee of WFOM Board Members and GWRSD Music Educators. Monies will be dispersed based on the committee's recommendation. Recipients will be notified prior to the end of May 2025. Students may apply yearly for this award. 

Summer Music Camp Application

WFOM may award tuition awards up to six students to attend Summer Youth Music School (SYMS) camps at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH, the Southern Maine University Summer Music camps at Southern Maine University in Gorham, ME, or another music camp that has been approved by Wolfeboro Friends of Music. 

The awards are open to any year-round resident music student in the Lakes Region Schools of Gilford, Governor Wentworth, Inter-Lakes, Moultonborough, and Prospect Mountain School Districts. Students must submit an application including a written essay about their interest and future musical ambitions. 

Application deadline is April 1st, 2025. An application must also be submitted directly to the camp of your choice. The tuition award winners will be selected based on their application by a committee of WFOM Board Members.
